“Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all”
    Lord Tennyson, In Memoriam

Pooja would have rolled her eyes at Tennyson or at any grand, poetic declarations of love. She would have definitely preferred something more down-to-earth like Mills and Boons, K-dramas (both Korean as well as the Ekta Kapoor kind) or good ol’ campy Bollywood (the sorts where Amitabh Bachchan has a dolphin for a mother!).

From 2017 onwards, she regaled all of us at INDUSLAW with her garrulous laughter, unique brand of wit and dart-like repartees. She was empathetic, but at the same time never called a spade by any other name. Even as she fought her battle with cancer, she showed us her enormous reserves of grit and courage. We at INDUSLAW will miss Pooja; a soul that was ever feisty and fearless.
